Flying's like nothing Chico had ever experienced.
He found himself soaring above the trees, carried by the powerful draft, heading for paradise. Then the winds dissipated.
"Uh oh."
The sand, debris, uprooted plants and animals lost their new power of flight as the ground drew closer at breakneck speeds.
"We're going to die!" Angel cried as she lost altitude.
Author's Notes
Decades ago, there was a chicken farm which was destroyed by a storm. The chickens escaped. Not too far from that farm is a place called Bukit Panjang (Malay for Long Hill), where communities of wild chickens roam free. Putting the two and two together, I came up with this charming little tale.
