Billy. Fictional Character

Billy Lionheart

Billy was born during the Tribulation. He was a mere toddler when his parents Jake and Ella were beheaded by followers of the Antichrist (Beast). Rescue pilots, Mei and Boris arrived in his menuvival camp too late. They found the tiny boy hiding in a pipe. Itty bitty little Billy was the only survivor from the community.

Mei and Boris took them back with him to their camp. Their community of believers became Billy's new family. Mei treated him like her own son.

In Mary's Flight, Mei brought Barry and Mary into her community when Mary was heavily pregnant with Bluma. Billy was helping Mathilda when Bluma was born, and was the first thing the baby saw upon birth. That led to Bluma's original fixation on the little boy.

At the end of the Tribulation, the group parted ways. Mei and her husband Leo brought Billy with them, while Barry and Mary took Bluma to a different city altogether.

Billy found out that his real parents had returned as immortals and ran away his foster home to look for them. By then, Leonard, a bona fide lion had been sentenced to be Billy's nanny for life. He was issued translator gloves to help him with his new responsibilities. (Read the full story in The Quest for Immortality by Janice Wee.) Leonard Lion accompanied Billy on his quest to find his real parents, the resurrected saints, Jake and Ella, and ends up adopting the boy as his own human cub when the pair gets hopelessly lost in Billy The Lion Boy.

Leonard meets his match in Lina and they have their own cubs, with Billy as their eldest (adopted human) cub. Together, the pride accompanies Billy as he finds new leads on his real parents' whereabouts. When Billy is reunited with his biological parents, he spends a year with them while Leonard finds new meaning in life, starting a business with Billy's secret recipe of tasty hay. Leonard also searches for a potential mate for Billy.

After spending a year with his real parents, Billy's heartbroken when they send him to boarding school. There he meets Bluma and they have their first adventure in this peaceful new world in Billy & Bluma. Double Trouble.. To escape a cult, Billy is blessed with super strength.

Billy and Bluma return to St Lydia's Academy in time for the new semester, and discover that someone's out to kill the kids in school. At the same time, Billy struggles with his super strength gone wild, while Leonard learns to use his new flying mittens. Bluma's grown into quite a beauty who has caught the attention of the other boys in school, which triggers Billy's jealousy. All that's in Secret Hero & His Flying Lion.

From their first year in The Academy, we jump seven years to after their graduation, when Billy finally musters the courage to propose to Bluma. That begins the tale in Dragon Unbound. By Janice Wee.. Billy and Bluma raise their family in the Millennial Reign of Christ. The family grows into a tribe and into a whole new nation. Then Dragon is released, turning friends and family against one another. It's an epic fantasy saga of faith, love, trust and betrayal during the final chapter of humanity. Of all the books I've written, this is my favourite. I read it when I need encouragement. The characters came to life as I wrote the book and are close to my heart. Their stories mirror the life around us today.

Have you noticed how strong relationships, partnerships, and marriages often stem from childhood bonds, school friendships, or church connections? This story introduces Abigail, a relatable heroine who isn’t perfectly organized or blessed with striking beauty. Abigail finds herself drawn to a muscular man with worldly values, overlooking the quiet love and patience of Aaron, her steadfast childhood friend. The story turns darker with Stella, Abigail’s boss, and a Sunday Christian. Stella’s animosity toward Abigail and others leads her down a path of hate, culminating in more sinister acts. It raises thought-provoking questions: Are hatred and murder sins of the same family, although they differ in magnitude? How should a believer respond to such trials? This compelling short story offers valuable lessons about gratitude, faith, and the dangers of taking blessings for granted. It’s a poignant reminder to cherish what we already have. Don’t miss it!

It’s good reading material. Language simple yet interesting and punctuated with humour.
Many children and adults can identify with the little nonya as it brings one back to memory lane of childhood days and pranks.
